I read this and smile. There is no darkness so deep that light will not penetrate and growth will not be achieved. I think of depression... truly a dark night of the soul and yet, in time, there is an unspoken need and one finds themselves "driving back the shadows."
Both literally and metaphorically this poem speaks to me!

Entirely my pleasure!

What a dramatic description of winter giving way to spring. My favorite lines were:
"While winter lingers longer in shadows
a bright new flower, clutches firmly,"
and the synesthesia of "screaming in a robust color."
Hope you are seeing breath-taking spring flowers popping up!

This is written delightfully, delicately. I love how the flowers persist and live, even thrive, with the help of light. I thoroughly enjoyed this. May all your days be filled with this light.

This is a very good poem that you have written for the day two of the monthly challenge. I do wish you the very best with all of your writing, and that you will be able to do the complete 30 writings for the month of April. Patricia.

That is a very beautiful poem about the arrival of spring as it comes forth powerfully against the grip and hold of winter. Spring wins out, and flowers spring forth out of the shadows. Lovely images of shadows and light interwoven. Very nice!

You paint a wonderful word picture here of reluctance to cede to change. I could feel so many aspects that you described dragging their heels as catalysts tried in vain to gently persuade night, winter etc to retreat. Nicely done. kay

Hello there my friend.
This is beautifully written spring poem.
The weather has been cold, a late Spring.
All the flowers are trying to break ground with their new sprouts. ð??·
Nicely done!
