Again, I want to say that I'm so very sorry for your loss. I do know about your son Jason's tragic death. I also like how this is written in the voice of your son. You did good with the organ donation and so did your late son. Ulla:)))

I'm sorry for your loss, Ricky. What a tragedy. I've read of
Jason's story in the past. I know about the organ donation.
That was a courageous thing to do for both you and Jason.
I didn't know much about the mustang or the driver. How tragic.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

I found this incredibly moving story as told in your son's voice. I have seen the loss of a child destroy a family by the dad and mom never recovering from the fog of grief that took their son's life. While you still grieve for your son, you keep him with you. First, by the organ donation but also letting us know what a remarkable and caring young man he is and was.
Here is a six for Jason telling his story and for his remarkable Dad.
Best wishes,
Mary

About a half a dozen times a year.
I will do this.
It all comes from him above anyhow.
Another dozen times a year.
I will share and do this with him.
...
As long as we can touch?
As long as we can touch and make a difference?
As long as we can together one day?
One day possibly continue to save lives?

April 1st. We call that, April Fools Day, when you are told something has happened, when it actually hasn't. A day for playing tricks. That was not the case here. Jason's life and death is with you every hour, minute of the day, Ricky, you've been in a dark place all that time and it can't be filled. Writing this, in Jason's voice, might help the demons to disappear, I hope so. So many young, talented teenagers die through a reckless action, when they are too young to appreciate how final death is. This was written from the heart, I could feel your pain. So sorry. Sandra

Why thank you Sandra for stopping by.
It looks like you captured my Soul.
And you've taken still another dagger out of my Broken Heart.

Thank you for sharing. I'm curious were you brought up in the church or converted?
So, my mother put it into this and Eleven years would pass. (put an end to this???)
Yes how quickly time will pass. (comma after 'Yes')
Yes was not the same Brian I knew over a decade ago. (comma after 'Yes')
The next seventeen hours. (The following seventeen hours)

Life is precious pass it into someone who could really Use the organs you leave behind, signing your donor card is very important to take the pressure off your family if there's no saving you.

When I write in the first person of my son you know it will be exactly as you reviewed it.
There will be one more tomorrow on April 1st.
Then for the next 11 months I'll take a break from beating myself over the head for the loss.
Thanks my Dear Dolly.

Comment from Mario PIERRE
Very poignant and overflows with the love of a father to his son. It's easy to say that " time heals", but it actually doesn't.
I enjoyed knowing a bit more about Jason!!!

Most people don't know that the loss of a child no matter the age, no matter male or female is a parents
worst nightmare.
Not to you experience it. Could you ever begin to understand.
Always a pleasure Mario and have a wonderful day!
