You deserve a six for this. You must be a very patient person. That sounded like a very strenuous day. Makes me glad I no longer have little ones. Go bless you for your care of them.

Thank you so much, Anne. It is an honour to receive six stars, and I appreciate it. I am so glad you enjoyed it.

You sound a lot like my cousin who chauffeurs their grand children all over the place. I sure couldn't do it now! The little ones wear me out on a short visit. You are probably exhausted, but you are making memories that will last them a lifetime!

Nana's taxi is definitely earned some overtime. One good thing about the truth being out about the tooth fairy -- it will be easier yo deal with the
Santa Claus thing when Christmas comes around.
Oh I am so glad my kids are all grown up and my grandies too.

There are two older boys (nearly 16 and 13, brothers of the 8 year old. But I don?t see them much because they are so busy with school and other activities. The seventh,(18 months old) also a boy lives seven hours drive away so I mainly see him on video calls. He is a real live wire! So it?s the four girls in the middle who I see most and prompt most of my stories. Lol. I?ll be done in a couple of years once they are all at school. Literally. But then I?ll miss them. Thanks so much for a great review.

No, you're a young Nanny!! I think you did it fabulously. But I think your son could have gotten the umbrella. The pottery could have been yours by default for being the chauffeur ! Ah, I'm dealing with just a few of those things. A forgotten water bottle, puking in the car. All adding up to memories for the kids.

Thank you Helen! Lovely review. He always spends a little time with each of the three girls at bedtime and prays with them, so I didn?t want to interrupt that. And we had no idea when the pottery place would be open again after that. Ah - at least no one has been sick in my car! I don?t cope well with vomit. Apart from that I hope you are having a wonderful time with yours!

You have got to be kidding me, Wendy. That day was unbelievable. That was above and beyond the call of duty. I had to lie down and take a nap after I read this piece.

So did I! I felt relieved that there won?t be any more pottery next week. And I?m tempted to keep the little piece as a souvenir! Lol. Thanks so much for the fun review.

The travails of being a grandparent these days! Sounds like a pretty exhausting day. Your son is lucky to have you nearby to help out. When our two grandsons were that age, we found it equally exhausting, especially during the Covid years when we had to spend many long days at home with them. I feel for you, Wendy.
This was humorously written and fun to read. Jim

Thank you Jim. I am so glad you enjoyed it. The two families live quite close to each other, but as we are half an hour from them (across a range) the extra driving is tiring too. But yes, during Covid I missed them as we were unable to see them at all. Need a balance.

What a day! I remember having those days, but not all my grandchildren are older than that. However, the youngest (12) left her shin guards here, and she needs them for soccer. They live 35 miles away, so they'll just have to buy new ones. Stay strong, girl. It's not over yet.

Lol. No, not over yet. When the youngest goes to preschool in a couple of years it will be easier. The youngest is 18 months and he is a real live wire but I am safe as they live about seven hours drive from us! Thanks so much - I loved your encouraging review.

It sounds like that was quite a day for you and the children. I know I am too old to be rushed around like when Greyson was smaller. You used great descriptive words. Did you ever find out who the one piece of pottery belonged to, or what item it belonged to? thanks for sharing! love and blessings, teri

I really enjoyed this commentary on the life of a loving grandmother. You're blessed to have so much time with your girls, and they're blessed to have you. Enjoy it all - even the drama!
