This was a very fun, funny poem. It definitely captures the spirit of the contest prompt. I found many lines which were noteworthy, such as:
Jesse gets frisky, so whiskey's too risky
and also:
Only their outfits are loud, can't deny it
Virgil and Wyatt are really quite quiet
and also:
He'd prefer making friends over an arrest
plus
His heart, I'm told, is the town's only gold
The best pun that gets repeated is the Mild West. But it never gets boring! I also was impressed by rhyming century with penitentiary without anything sounding forced. I might have added a few more punctuation marks, but the content definitely merits six stars.

Your poem is light hearted, cute, funny in spots and very well rounded light hearted piece of work. Thank you for that! We all need some levity sometimes as the world is much too dark and serious.

Well, I like this poem about the mild West, where no guns are used when a dispute arise. I wish that would be the case in the today's US where people seems to shoot at each other for no clear reason..good luck with this peaceful piece. Ulla:)))
