Very interesting comments, of course race should have nothing to do with who we choose to lead our country...But those that do, should at least know what the country stands for, and be free from the ugly verbiage that I see coming from some politicians..I do believe there are many Blacks, and Whites that do well for the country...and some that do not.

Yes, this has become an issue in Australia also. The conundrum is that, without interference in minorities' favour, the people in power are almost 100% white males, and other quite competent people are not voted in because of prejudice among voters. How to fix it? There is no perfect way because people are not perfect.

You make such a valid point here. When employing people, it is their ability and also qualifications for the job that should be paramount, not the colour of skin or sex. We are being swaying by public opinion rather than employing the right candidate here. We live in a mob culture these days where the bullies dictate to us what will happen in society.
