Yes, that is us. My wife was so much younger when I married her. But, despite her aging, I have stayed around for 46 years. BTW, we are a multi-cultural marriage: I am a Texan and she, a Massachusetts Yankee. Many said it would never work. But, I, having been in the Navy, knew about the chain of command rules and I have generally obeyed. Thanks for stopping by and sharing our story.

Great story of a life half-lived ( I'm giving you up to 92, see?).. As the song says, all you need is love! You wrote something touching and from the heart! I'm pretty sure she would do it again too!

Thanks for reading and writing. In another writing, I reported that whenever I remind her that good men are hard to find, she responds, "I know. I'm still looking." 46 years of making her tea and that is the thanks I get!
