O the things we find to do with our time during power outages!. Whne I was a lid I remember trying to color in our color books, but you could never make out the color of crayon you had so your pics came out really....different.lol This is a cute piece. It shows how you enjoyed writing it.! Good job.

This is an excellent poem in your own sonnet-form with the aabb rhymes.
Good neighbors are rare these days, but you certainly have some of the best.
There seem to be more violent storms than in the past. It is good to be prepared.
Glad to you you came through okay.

I dint think it would be good if the power would go out, if, in fact, it wouldn't cause chaos on the face of the locality we live in. But isn't it good? That your neighbours come to your rescue and 'foes' up so to speak, well done, blessings Roy

This poem really rang a bell, we lived in Pinedale, Wyoming many years, and loss of power was a regular occurrence there. In the spring it was the rain, in summer it was the wind, in winter the snow.
We called Lincoln Power, "Blinkin' Lincoln."
