So very true. We never stop grieving our loved ones. Your final two lines:
"True it is Love never dies
But sorrow too lives on."
summarize it very well. I also liked that you started with the song that brings the beloved to mind.

Dear Helen, This piece was written after hearing a song Heath especially liked played over the radio. He came so close to me, I could feel his presence as I
stood listening. Then-- gone. But the words I gathered and held close. It just flowed from my mind to my fingers with few corrections. It was a gift from my son Heath to his mother and is dearly treasured because of it

I loved that you wrote it down and shared it with us! I was wondering if it was your son's song.

Your last stanza just knocked me out. Yes, sorrow lives on too. You have some great lines and thoughts in this. It truly reflects sadness and it looks like a star is now gone from your blue heaven. Thank you so much for sharing this pain. Well done.

Lynda

On a presentation note, there is a huge blank space after your poem is finished. This may be from hitting 'enter' too many times or perhaps an error in transferring text from another program. However, this doesn't deter me from awarding six stars on this.

dear Linda S. Thankyou for your review and THE SIX AWESOME STARS for "My Sorrow ". Yes this long "shirt tail" effect has been remarked upon before/ but I don't understand the instructions to fix it. Would you care to explain how to go about it? Words of one syllable please( by that I mean keep it simple)
About the poem, thank you also for your opinion of the words used. I sat long over this piece choosing each word carefully, so I'm pleased by that.
    cheers bloop.

You?re most welcome. To fix the spacing problem, open your piece in edit mode. Move your mouse cursor to end of your text. Click once to set it. Then just hit the delete key on your keyboard as many times as needed to bring up the bottom of the text editing box. It looks like you?ll need to hit that delete key about 20 times or more. Good luck!

It is because our true love never dies that we are in such sorrow when then depart. Once we open up our heart to someone, we become vulnerable to grief. Your poem is heartfelt and honest, love Dolly x
