This is a very sad poem which sounds like someone lost someone they loved and you did. I feel your pain in this poem and am very sorry for your loss.

Jesse i am so sorry to read this. May I ask what happened? The last I read was that Cindy had a brain aneurism and was fighting to stay with us. Your words have an air of finality in them, so I assume Cindy has passed away. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Believe me when I say how fervently I hope I am wrong and Cindy is still extant.cheers Cass

No, it gets complicated to explain Cindy doesn't have a brain aneurysm after all. She actually up and quit without giving any notice as to how to get ahold of her.
So yes, she is still with us just no longer my caregiver. I rushed to answer this review so as to not have you worry too much about her. Thank you for the sixth star and for thinking of me and Cindy.

You described your poignant situation well,
Jesse. Her green truck will be forever in your
mind. Though she left for whatever reason
I believe another sweet caregiver will come
into your life soon. Remember the saying
when one door closes, another one opens.
In the meantime, try to focus on the beauty
of Spring. You and Sunny will be ok, it takes time.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Sorry to hear that you no longer have her smiles and her care. Yes she will be missed! How is she going with her own health? Not good I take it.
Hope you find someone else soon. Best wishes.

Hello, Jesse!
What I so appreciate about your offering - aside from its heartfelt honesty - is the manner in which you draw the reader in to the content of your poem: from outside to inside. Very interesting to focus on the truck - and then move to the person, Cindy... Kudos.
Hopefully, this write was catharctic -
And even more so, perhaps your coming days will be see that the hole in your heart will be filled again...
Best Wishes, Jesse!
Stay strong!

Good morning, Diane!
Thanks for the stellar review and exceptional rating!
I love how you see through the guts of the poem and into the heart of the matter!
Yes, I had hoped more folks would see the poem the way you do with the focus on the green truck and into the view of Cindy and how much she meant to me!
I love the way you end your comments wishing for me to fill the hole in my heart!
I will stay strong!
Jesse

You are feeling a lot of remorse now, Jesse. With Cindy gone you are devastated. Your words showed me the devastation you experienced. It will get better, I promise you. Blessings!!!

We do get attached to those who care about us. Your poem gives no clue about why she left so I'm guessing you don't need a caregiver anymore? I like your idea of connecting her with a green truck. Sunny must be a cat. Poignant line that she misses her too.

No, I still need a caregiver...Cindy quit and left me high and dry. Thank you for your thoughtful review. And yes, Sunny is my cat, and she misses Cindy as much as I do.

I am sorry you lost your caregiver. I know that relationship will be hard to build again. I will continue to pray for that situation along with your healing. I know you will walk again.
