How fun to see dolphins up close like that. It seems they like to play and show off for people. Interaction between wild creatures and humans can create an unforgettable encounter. Looks like you were lucky to have one of those encounters.

I have never seen dolphins up close or in person (just on television-nature shows). But, as I began reading this, I could picture being on a boat in the water off the coast as dolphins display their playfulness. When I can picture myself being a part of what I am reading, my attention has been captured. Great job!

I saw pink dolphins in the Amazon and they seem to thrive all over the world and they are fascinating to watch, glad you have some fond memories of them in your poem here, love Dolly x

Might want to review and edit here and there. For instance Dana Point, of which I am familiar is spell Dan the first time in the poem, and instead of repeating ONCE in consecutive lines, use ANOTHER.
I miss San Diego. I lived on Coronado for two years in the early seventies. San Diego had 600,00 for a population. Today, it is six million plus.
