Again, another fine chapter, Barbara. I liked what was happening here although that someone is sabotaging her car is not so good.
Just a couple of things: you've written 'She tilted her head' twice and very close to each other.

Well, as for being relatable to the reader is a question of balance I suppose. Personally, I have a University degree in Spanish, and I have a law degree, soo I could put a LLB after my name if I so wished. I've lived in many parts of the world and travelled most of the world. I've also sailed yachts most of my life and into to the high oceans. But as readers come from all walks of life, I've also felt there's a balance to be struck. I hope that makes sense. Ulla:)))

I cross-dress, does that count? Just kidding. Emma actually sounds like my wife of 36 years. She could fish and do lots of other things like coach soccer, do children`s art classes and stuff like that. And she was petite! Your writing is easy to read and enjoyable. 6 for a gal who likes to fish.

I'm loving this story. Obviously, someone is stalking Emma. I think she needs to take that more seriously. It will be interesting to find out who and why, but not too early in the story. lol.

This is another excellent chapter. I am trying to figure out how old Seth is. At first he seemed older taking care of Emma but now he seems attracted to her. I do not see any need for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Listen, I am not female, nor am I involved in a lot of other activities. It is not your fault or the fault of you well drawn characters that they may have gifts some of your reviewers lack. That is a sad fact of life. Some are gifted and more committed than others. So what? Get over it. I will say it once more, do not let your readers edit the creativity out of your story. It is your story not theirs.

It is ok to respect your readers and their reasonable requests and concerns, but not to the extent that it corrupts the story you want to tell.

She is the kind of person I would like to be around so I don't see why people should have a problem with her. She seem self-sufficiant and self-confident. How many girls would go off fishing by themselves? I like the mystery in this story.
