Another fine poem, Gypsy....and winter's still hanging on there, huh? Spring has sprung here with temps in th 60's and let's say we celebrate with an indictment for Donnie? Or so I've heard, soon

We've been down by the Gulf these past few days, our son's birthday, and have actually had to wear a coat. We come down every year and have never had to do that before. I can't wait for spring either. Thank you for sharing.

I like your tanka poem - good picture presentation of the crow's perched in the woods - waiting to meet the fate of a long winter-as too the plants - suggest: more common English usage - "dear departed" - is "dearly departed"- still 31 should be okay? good job AP

Yes, spring is a wonderful season, it does bring out the best in most people, I guess that also could be attributed to the end of winter though, an excellent Tanka, very well written****kahpot

That also reminds me of Dean. He did like that "murder of crows" theme. Great presentation of this and even with the theme of death, it's positive because the death of winter means new life in spring!

Yes, Dean loved crows, he wrote about them a lot, specially the Edgard Allen Poe like poems. I think that's what got me started on crows poems.
Thank you big sister.
