Well, I love seeing the history of East Tennessee. I live in West Tennessee and can tell you many things about the Civil War and about any Blues players from this area. Please check your spelling of riffles; it should be rifles. What a wonderfully written piece. I wish I had a six for you.

Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Wow, this is a dynamic entry. It should do very well in the contest.

the Indian were fighting with riffles. [You'll want to correct your spelling of RIFLE here and elsewhere in this fine article Also, I think you'll want to pluralize "Indian".

who was an influential Cherokee chief[BS1] . [The "BS1" link is broken. clicking on it takes the reader to the bottom, but nothing's there.]

What a fascinating tale of a woman of achievement. I am very happy to see indigenous women of all races being acknowledged for their accomplishments. The image, which may or not be of Nancy Ward, displays an Indian woman of strength and beauty. Well done!

Thank you Julie. I think the picture is a painting someone did of a sketch of her. All the pictures of her look very much like the sketch. I really appreciate the lovely review and comments.
