This is an outstanding post and I enjoyed the read and the message. It is not 'maudlin' or 'preachy' or any of those annoying sometimes religious things. It is an honest visit with oneself in review of one's relationship to God. Excellent contest entry. ann

A superb piece of writing that coveys his mercy towards us and the times people walk away from him because of the many trials, they are fearful he won't forgive them. A very poetic narrative conceives of gentle words. I wish you the best in the contest.

This is a beautiful letter. It sounds almost poetic and it is the kind of letter all of would like to receive from God. We all realize we are a less that perfect and are prone to trangress. We all want forgiveness and to know we have it. It sounds sincerre. I know it will do well in the contest.

We blame and punish ourselves much more harshly than God ever would. It seems we are far less forgiving than our God and Father. He knows and understands that we are dust. We cannot win because we were made losers and imperfect before our conception thanks to Adam and Eve's failure to obey the divine instructions. They are the humans who will not receive forgiveness. They are forever cut off from his grace and his mercy.

This is an excellent expression of faith. God comes across as a caring and forgiving deity who genuinely loves and cares for each individual person and only wants the best for them. They just need to realize it.

It does lie within each of us to forgive, especially ourselves. God may lead you and show you the way, but it must come from within to gather the strength and courage to move forward.

How beautiful are your words and message. The Prodigal Son is what I think of and my son. I did not see st first that it was from God as I thought you were writing to your son. I can see God writing this with all His divine love. Thank you for sharing.

Wendy, thank you for your kind words of validation. It is so true that far too often do we usually beat ourselves up when, God the Father, simply wants us to pick ourselves back-up, brush off the sticky wickedness of everyday failures and seek Him out
