I think we confuse honesty with the truth, it is not, otherwise we morph into Pontius Pikate's mistake of not knowing truth's definition. It is aways unbiased, it doesn't judge others, otherwise it is biased, and our version of the truth. We must always remember that the leaders of our country/community come from the general population, not a foreign country. So if we judge them, we judge ourselves. Integrity is being capable of being honest about ourselves, and never being superior. But good write Bill, blessings Roy

If we can't convince ourselves that what we say is the true, then how can we ever convince others there is truth within us. So, many could be squeezed in a press without finding a drop. Thanks for sharing.

We have all been lied to so much by political leaders and the media that most of us have started not to trust anything we see or hear. AI has made it easier for those who want to manipulate truth so there is no way to tell truth from fiction. People either believe the lies or become total sceptics. Integrity is less common than it once was.

As far as politicians go, I'm not sure we have ever taken anything they say as gospel. Nowadays though, lying to our faces, and being proven to be liars and thieves, does nothing to stop them. They are surrounded with other politicians who know they will never support punishing anyone who could pull them down as well.

He just says I will look into it. He never gets back to you with any thing of consequence. He has no plans just promises. You should check his pant legs for signs of smoke.

That is why Trump got elected with all the false propaganda to deceive people into thinking he was some kind of messiah.
