Very interesting piece. It sounds very frightening and lucky that you realised what was happening. If you hadn't been there as well as having a competent doctor the result could have been very different!

Our doctor and gynecologist Dr. Nariskin was on vacation.
He's a very big Russian. He never would have been able to do it!
His hand wouldn't have fit. Funny how God works in little ways?

Well dear Barbara, looks like we got more in common than just incredible writing!
The End of that story was sad.
...
Note: Since my wife Carolyn had all five of the children, my three and her first two, in Community Memorial Hospital in Toms River, New Jersey.
She established a Bond with the Head Nurse.
She found out the woman the African American woman.
That she shared a room.
Unfortunately, was waiting but not for birth.
She didn't know yet that the baby was still born.
