Another fine poem, Gypsy----and love Linda Ronstadt----shame that her voice is silenced for all time because of her disease. I understand that feeling, not due to illness by accident, we both had singing ripped away from us

Unfortunitely because of her disease, And I can't remember off the top of m head, maybe MS? her vocal chords make it impossible for her to sing

I like your tanka poem - good picture presentation of a seemingly sad for forlorned person- poem flows well and paints a clear picture of her story - inspired by Linda's song - I remember it well - one of my favorites!! Excellent song and good use of some of the words in your poem. Good Job AP

I remember that song. Linda Ronstadt is such a talented singer! I liked her singing operettas and in Spanish!
Great pair of tankas. The first stanza shows the seeking of new love and the last one, accepts the grieving and the reality that the last love will be missed for a long time.
