You presented the entire gospel story in two lines I am thankful all year long for the sacrifice Jesus made for all, but I appreciate the emphasis that's made for it on Easter. Good luck in the contest.

This is a very succinct comment on the Christian faith. Jesus lived, taught, died, and provided salvation. The rhyming couplet format works well for your poem. Each line having a two-clause structure works well to contrast life and death, and to link the ideas together. I think this is a good poem.
