I took that one in the mountains the caribou here in BC. Forty five hundred feet up. I took a picture of the moon rise several of them actually. I'm not sure how many hundreds of thousands of times. The moon has been written about so definitely a different take and inspiration is required. Thank you Dolly for your kind review and your comment. Thank you again for your time. I know you're a busy lady so I appreciate it very much!

The moon seems to have an atmospheric glow around it, which speaks of other things, although we've had a lot of rain for us in recent times, we do get a lot of clear nights. I love this highly imaginative post Lea, an excellent post my friend, well done, blessings Roy

I really like your last line the very best of all in this poem. You might consider writing another moon poem with that thought in mind and expand the horse/galloping theme. Since you touched on the feminine aspect of the moon, maybe you were also thinking of a mythological reference to Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and the moon. That could be expanded, too.

An original take on the moon. Likely one of the most written about themes ever! This is a complex fee verse. Each line is a puzzle, and it's up to the reader to form the fuller picture. Some will not try...and that is their loss. You've offered your words as gifts. I accept them as they are!

Lol. Thank you for reading and for your comments. Sometimes the moon is written as "racing across the sky", I think of horses.
