Well, Tom, I think old should be defined from everyone prespective. From where I am, seventy sounds young to me. When, my not quite three year old, son wasn't getting the attention he wanted from my Uncle Harry, he grabbed his pant leg and shook it saying, " Har, Har, Look me I'm old, now. I all growed up." Good luck with the rant.

Thanks for the response and comment. The question is WHEN does OLD begin. I feel fortunate to have found this contest twenty minutes before it ended. The words came on my first attempt, You summed it up brilliantly as to a person's perspective.

I don't feel old until my body tells me so, as I'm your line -
when the hill becomes to steep to climb.

It's a matter of perspective then, yes? Even a toddler may believe its sibling is OLD even if but a year older. I had fun creating this. Hopefully, it was entertaining as well for the readership.

When we get to our parents' age, it may seem unbelievable to us as well. To be a senior seems to be both a privilege and a liability, but it shouldn't mean we suddenly have a disparaging label. Actually, the babe is my wife, held by her dad, next to his dad, next to his dad. Four generations. Fairly rare I'd say.

Wow that's a great photo. I'm totally in line with what you put your words together and your word choices in a very interesting sentence! And what is old age I think it's exactly when the mind tells you it is. Attitude reflects in body and everything else we do. The mind is more powerful than we know as thoughts are things and the more we believe the more substance they have.

I think everyone has a different view of age. When I worked as a fitness instructor some youngsters I taught told me I was old! I was in my forties then! Ha ha ha, then I taught at Aston University in my 50s and I was young in comparison to the other teachers! I think you are as young as you feel, but as I say others may have a different view. I think 70 seems to be a defining age Tom, love Dolly x

I think everyone has a different view of age. When I worked as a fitness instructor some youngsters I taught told me I was old! I was in my forties then! Ha ha ha, then I taught at Aston University in my 50s and I was young in comparison to the other teachers! I think you are as young as you feel, but as I say others may have a different view.
