You've touched on a number of subjects in your rant, and no doubt could have covered a great number more. That's the problem I have when I write to my representatives. There are so many things that really disturb me now. I've written about the border, about censorship (shutting down conservative new outlets) the Chinese spy balloon, the fentanal crisis, the list goes on and on. Unfortunately, if I get a response, it's usually some generic answer that doesn't really address the issue. One of the things you mentioned that is especially disturbing is the whole push of the left to condition our children to think that they can change their gender. The sneaky way they go about this with radical teachers is disgusting. The NEA needs to be held accountable and more parents are going to have to get directly involved in their children's education. As far as the war in Ukraine, I think we have a difference of opinion. Biden botched the whole Afghanistan withdrawal, costing thirteen of our service members their lives. Otherwise he could have sent the military supplies Ukraine needs to fight Russia. If Russia is allowed to take over Ukraine, they will be emboldened to take Poland or elsewhere. Frankly, I wish Biden would stop dribbling out the supplies and get serious. Send the Ukrainians some jets that they can use to put an end to the constant destruction of their country. Of course China is watching to see what is going to happen so they can attack Taiwan. We are perceived as a weak country anymore and getting weaker. If something doesn't change in the next election, the United States as we know it, will cease to exist. As I've said before, stock up on non-perishable items, including gardening supplies, and ammo. The left has lost their minds and I don't think they'll stop at anything if we don't put an end to this. Thanks for sharing gal.

You're absolutely right about Biden botching the Afghan withdrawal, it's just that I wish he would care as much about his own country and her needs as he does about Ukraine's.
I'm proud of you for writing your representatives, I haven't, and should. However, your description of their answers doesn't surprise me.
Thanks for reading my rant. I could've written a book, there are so many things that are wrong.

You're right Katharine, we seem to have developed a habit of doing the wrong thing. I was just now thinking that maybe they're throwing outrageous things out there to see how much the public will accept. If they only get away with half of the crap, they've gone a long way in destroying our lifestyle.

I suppose we have, but I haven't been on top of it so much either. Jim Jordon of Ohio seems to have his head together, and there are a few others. Alaska is primarily a red state, but we're being sold out by Murkowski, and because of Rank Choice Voting this year, a Dem took over Don Young's seat. We're working to overturn it and return to regular elections.

You're not the only one who didn't know what it was. I wish I could explain it, but the best bet would be to look it up on Google, as I can't do it justice. It was pushed by a left leaning lobby, and a lot of people were fooled into accepting it I guess. In any event, I signed a petition a few weeks ago to put an end to it. Just in our area, over five hundred people signed it. It's making it's way around the state. I think we'll go back to the way things should be next cycle. Like so much else, crap is made to look good and the people get deceived.

a lot of people think our governor, Greg Abbott is good, but my daughter, who really digs into things, says he's a RINO. At least he a conservative; our local gov't is liberal - mostly Hispanic, as is our city.

This is cute and makes some excellent points. I will agree with you that Bidden did undo some of Trump's better ideas, like the wall and not turning 50 percent of our population into welfare recipients. Francine has a very cute voice, very Southern.

thanks, Carol. I'm originally from Georgia, but left there in '58.
I found that picture, and it grabbed me. :) Had to write something to go with it.

I cannot understand why it's that high, considering all he's done to undermine the country. You touch on what's going on in the schools, and I think that's a real concern. Especially when there have been instances of teachers helping kids transition without even informing the parents. I heard a news segment last night about the attempts in Switzerland to drastically reduce the number of livestock and crop production, all in the name of climate concerns. If the people are starving, they're not going to be thinking about saving the planet. That could well make its way to the U.S. It's hard to know where to begin worrying. Great work. judi

Yeah. "they" want us to eat bugs.
I read a piece today saying that Biden was going to be a shoe-in in '24. I really feel sometimes like I AM going crazy. This country is totally upside down. Thanks for reading and for your nice comments!

Thanks Julie. I have to say, I couldn;'t believe it when I heard yall's gov't took away everybody's guns. I've always thought of Aussies as being so independent. They're trying to do that here, too. If they do, they're going to face some real resistance here in Texas.

I had to give up a .22 rifle with scope and a really sweet little dble barrel 420 shottie, but really, now that I'm no longer on a farm I have no real reason for them except these @*%# Indian miner birds which drive off our beautiful natives.

well, I'm glad you feel you have no need of them (guns), but it was still your right to have them, wasn't it? As long a our ditzy Pres keeps our borders open, letting in the whole world, he has no right to disarm us.
To change the subject, re: your miner birds, what about a BB gun?
I live in a garden home, fenced in in the back, in the city, and you wouldn't believe the animals that come over the fence and knock over potted plants, knock down bird feeders and make a general mess. I've seen raccoons, skunks (fighting) - that was scary, possums - yukky, scroungy critters, and of course, a plethera (love that word) of squirrels, eating all the bird seed, but I do have beautiful gold finches, cardinals, tit mice and chickadees which I love.

Actually, haha, I came out of this well because, knowing I couldn't keep the guns once I sold the farm, I sold them to friends, then the police had to track THEM down. They probably were allowed to keep them because both on the land. OOps, I meant 410, not 420. Not much range. Cheers, JL

Well... I had to say what had happened to them. Anyway it was fairly pointless to keep them as I no longer had a reason - no more vermin (well, hardly), no more sick cows to put down. Here in Aus we don't feel the need for guns for personal protection as there are hardly any around.

Dolly, what they're doing is paying farmers not to grow their crops; all kinds of food stuffsand ferilizers are being kept out of the country and off our grocery shelves. It's gov't. control, control, control.

well, I hadn't heard that - about the avocados, but what is going on, according to everything I read and hear on conservative channels - which are greatly ournumbered by Left wing ones - is the rise of socialism, which, for the life of me, I do not understand people wanting. Have they lost their minds???
