You sure landed farming country that would be handed down to you in the years to come. Nashville is a musical city where many travel to see popular stars constantly. What a transition from Heritage Hall to where you are now.

This is a good story but there is one little bit of confusion you need to clear up. Dusty is the son of Buck but when you returned to discussing Buck you need to remind the reader that he is Dusty's father. Did you ever meet Lois or Buck? That would be good to know. My grandfather had a place like Bucks that was called the Kitkat Club. I do enjoy your stories of your life.

Oh, moonshine and that good ole charcoal blended whiskey that we had to climb up into the lofts and turn with regularity was worth its weight in gold from around where I was from. LOL. Thanks for sharing. Wish I had a six.

Moonshine, and Jack Daniels. Had more than my share of the Black Label in my younger days. My favorite drink back then was a Pina colada with a shot of Jack poured in the middle of it. Sweet and sour. Glad to see you can relate to these experiences. Appreciate the review.

Hello Brett,
another fine chapter documenting your interesting life. I didn't realize that Tennessee had so many thunderstorms. I thought of settling down there more than once. I used to pass through the state on my way to Ohio from Charleston SC. It has some breathtaking areas. Thanks for sharing this.
Blessings,
Tom

Things back when growing up didn't come easy to most folks. Everything comes with a price putting blockades in the way but it made us appreciate more about life like dusty instilled you when he adopted you, You forget the awful life you left behind years to come down the road. Mire people need a kind heart like Dusty.

A lovely chapter, and it is good to know more about Dusty and his family and background. How wonderful that you found each other. He seems to be both extremely caring and very insightful. Just what you needed. Well written.

That was smart of Dusty to encourage you to write. What better way to keep tabs on a growing boy. I never heard of a boy having a diary. LOL Good job Brett. I enjoy your story. Nancy:)

So glad I had a SIX for this wonderful insight into your adoptive Dad's passed on twin, and your adoptive Grandfather and so on. No spags but I loved this word and wonder if you made it up, yourself? "imaginativenes" as in kind of genes, ha. Maybe we need a "Brettossary" like my "Geoffossary" of my own made-up words. Look for Geoffossary at the end of my LIttle Dog book.

If I haven't told you before, I am enjoying the heck out of this memoir. I like how you don't just plop us down in a scene. You give the reader history and reasons. Very good imagery and details of both big things and minute things. Great installment. Gretchen
