"The Hindenburg"! and your wife didn't move out!?
We do stupid things, don't we? But the stupid things make us who we are and form our character.
Thanks for the laugh.

    Hello Rebecca,
Actually, stupid doesn't begin to cover the range of idiotic episodes I've been involved in. I hate to think that I am the sum of all my stupid ideas, but they certainly have helped to mold me no doubt. I wouldn't mind if I learned from them all, but I'm running out of time, if I don't learn soon, it will be too late. Thanks so much for the entertaining comments.
    Have a blessed evening gal.

Nice writing. Good work.
You mean you don't drink Coke and swallow Mentos just for kicks?
We are never without a supply of antacids. Well, unless I eat the whole container!
Best wishes.

    Hi Wayne,
thanks so much for the funny comments. No, I've never tried that trick, but I think I've seen it done on youtube. Yeah, when it comes to doing dumb things, I guess I'm not alone in the cart, but nonetheless, I still wonder what I was thinking at the time.
    Have a blessed evening.

I truly enjoyed this funny story. I was waiting for you to explode. I am not sure if I am disappointed because I have a hubby who would and has done this . He has Celiac . I have seen him blow! Great story.

    Hello Mary,
I've heard of Celiac, but never really knew what it was. I kind of wanted to download a picture of the Hindenburg, but I can't get the pictures to go from my computer to the F S site for some reason. Oh well. It was kind of touch and go there for awhile for sure.
Thanks so much for the great review gal.
    Have a blessed evening.

Celiac does not allow any wheat products, which is why you see gluten free foods. It robs the body of vitamins but the reaction can be nasty like eating gallons of beans thus having a gluten free diet.

Oh, thanks for that clarification gal. How miserable. Fortunately, one can buy gluten free foods now.

Your story read well, Tom. After your food choices, I knew
what was coming. You made it fun the way you described
it. The picture was perfect. I like both of those foods, but
not in the same meal. You were right about soup getting
better the next day.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

    Hi Jan,
Obviously, you have much more wisdom than I do. For the life of me I don't know what I was thinking. I guess I thought that I would have to get rid of some more of the bean soup or I'd be eating it for the next three meals. I haven't mastered the art of cooking for two, so we have lots of leftovers. Thanks so much for the great review and comments.
    Have a blessed evening.

Your story was funny, although I am sorry for laughing at your misadventure. You wrote this well, and you have funny ways of phrasing things. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

    Hello Jessi,
thanks so much for the exceptional review and comments. I'm glad you liked this. I've been blessed with a pretty good sense of humor, and found out long ago, it's best if you can laugh at yourself, it makes some of our mistakes more tolerable.
    Have a blessed evening gal.

What's that proverb about the fool? Heh heh, repeating the process of making the same mistake repeatedly, expecting a different result. Yep, I still have a couple of silly habits, but stomachs are a temperamental apparatus. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

    Hello Roy,
I think it was Einstein that said something about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result was the definition of insanity. Yes, there is something to be said about not eating whatever you like just because you can. The old law of sowing and reaping. Thanks so much for the delightful review.
    Have a blessed evening.

Hilarious. Great use of hyperbole or maybe not :
I made it through the night without blowing the doors down, or even knocking the blanket off the bed. I woke up a few times thinking I heard thunder off in the distance,
Excellent use of detail to describe your foray into the refrigerator.

    Hello Shari,
I'm so glad you enjoyed this little post. It was a lot more fun to write about than it was to experience. I honestly don't know what I was thinking. I suppose in the back of my mind I knew it wasn't a good idea, but for some reason that thought didn't make it to the front of my mind until it was too late.
    Have a blessed day gal.

Very amusing. That sounds like a tasty mixture but one you might need medication to get past. I think as older people we tend to eat what we like and worry about the repercussions later.

    Hello Carol,
thanks for the fine review and comments gal. I was fortunate in that I didn't need to take any Rolaids or anything, but there was a bit of discomfort, for everyone involved.
    Have a blessed day.

LOL. Tom, this could come under the heading of too much information. Or maybe in your case, while there was no malice aforethought, there was to be plenty of malice. But as fathers have told their sons for generations...this too will pass. Excellent writing. Terry.

    Hello Terry,
I loved your comments. I'm still laughing about the sage advice of fathers. How true. I'm glad all of this is behind me now.
    Have a blessed day.

Oh my goodness, you really have done it this time, Tom. I was so surprised that you devoured what you did. As Doctor Stanley says -you will reap what you sow. And you definitely did sow. Now you are sorry! Very good job and greatly enjoyed. Blessings.

    Hello aryr,
I really don't know what I was thinking. I guess on the one hand I must have thought that I didn't want it to go to waste, I don't know. It actually could have been much worse than what I suffered. I was glad that I didn't have any cole slaw to go with it. Thanks so much for the fine review and comments.
    Have a blessed day.
