Appreciate the review and your comments.

How fascinating a great abstract piece. What I liked about it was one could draw a number of conclusions, I loved the ambiguity, the 20 pieces of bone ware, and the dog, great job, good luck, blessings Roy

Sometimes, your imagination amazes me. The kind and considerate person who has a deeper, darker side, trapped in the catacombs of a brain of many experiences. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. The image of eating Lucky Charms from a skull is not pretty. Good luck with the contest.
The next morning a Lab stood beside Tom's bed and whispered, "Lucky Charms!" (The following morning, but I'm confused by the Lab. It is a Labrador??? or exactly what??? I think this needs a little more clarity. Or maybe it's just me.)

Clarified to mean the breed of dog. Appreciate your question and the review.

Oh dear, this is a harsh story and a harsh read. Your dark side of humour is really coming through here. I hope it will do well. Breakfast takes in a whole new meaning. Good luck. Ulla:)))

Dang. That dog needs to be put down. Lol. This was one of those stories that makes you wonder what kind of mental illness Tom suffers from. Didnt the Son of Sam killer tell authorities that a dog told him to kill those people. Creepy little story you wrote there. I'll never look at lucky charms the same. Lol. Gretchen

Appreciate your insights and the review. Another tale from the darker side.

This one-hundred-word flash fiction story, Lucky Charm, has the proper word count and -- Gah! -- puts an odd spin on a bowl of something for breakfast. This is patched together, sentence by practically unrelated sentence, to bring Tom the Brain Eater out for breakfast. The talking dog adds to the surreal happenings. This posting makes me think one of two things, Brett. You could give a shit less about this challenge, or you are testing to see if anyone would vote for this stinker. Sorry to be harsh, but, c'mon.

Your comments amuse me and add a touch of humor to this dark posting. Thanks for another spectacular review. Don't give a shit? See if anyone would vote for this stinker? Interesting.

Having read your work, Brett, I found this to be something either written in two minutes on a bet, or after you were over-served. : )

Three, but who is counting? I do appreciate your view though. So different from all the other reviews I have received about this post. Do keep them coming.

Good morning, your flash fiction was vivid and full of action. You did a good job with it. I didn't understand the meaning of the last line. When you have time, explain it to me. I think I'm a little thick today. Have a great Sunday. Shirley

Though Tom kills his victims, he is triggered to, and controlled, by the dog who utters the words "Lucky Charms" to hypnotize, for lack of a better phrase, Tom into action. Appreciate the review.
Comment from BethShelby
You do have a dark side. You can come up with some of the most gross horror stories. Horror stories as well as short flash fiction takes talent. Good luck in the contest.
