I can't believe the City Council would believe a bench would cause drug dealers. I sure they could care less if there was a bench or not if there was a market for drugs. This is good rant. The contest rules say the end of the rant should say "Now I feel better."

A big drug problem in your courtyard, is there? Why doesn't Michelle petition to ban the corner altogether, just do away with the corner?

This is a good rant. If the tenants used the bench, the drug dealers wouldn't want to be watched or be there at all. So sad that it was vetoed. Best of luck in the rant contest.

I'm sorry to read the bench was vetoed. I lived in an apartment that had two benches facing each other in the courtyard. It was lovely on summer evenings. Neighbors would come out and sit and chat with one another.
