This is an excellent chapter. I can imagine what a great turn of events this was for you after you had given hope that anything good might come of your life. I imagine Dusty was hoping he would be able to do this. He must have questioned the wisdom of taking on a 12 year kid and wondering what he might be getting himself into. I love the way you ended this chapter.

You've given hope to the hopeless, faith to the faithless, and to those that although rare, compassion and destiny sometimes happen, the superintendent can't possibly believe it, although I suspect his time is coming, beautifully written Brett, blessings Roy

Had to step away from FanStory for awhile on a personal matter. But, with any luck that criminal situation (of which I am the victim, not the perp) is at least for now behind me and I can return to posting what I need to again. Glad you enjoyed this chapter.

Some idiot tried to open an electricity account in Houston, Texas in my name. Needless to say had to change all my financial accounts, credit cards, put a block on my SSA account, and several other pain in the neck things that have to be done in a situation like that just to protect yourself.
