Such a wonderful ending to a very trying situation. Your prayers were answered for sure. From that day forward, hopefully things went well for you. I'm sure there were many trails that had to be unraveled.

This is genuinely good. I was invested in your story, and the characters came off the page. It must be hard to remember fully what must have happened a long while ago. I am also impressed by how you made yourself the "unwanted dog". It must have been a tough thing to live through.
I award 5 stars only to those works that meet the promise of their premise. Yours did that for me.

Hello Brett,
I had to go back and re-read the last chapter, I had forgotten where you had left off. I'm glad that you finally got around to publishing this. Is this the end or is there more to come? Well done buddy. I wish all the boys in all the homes like Heritage could find a hero to rescue them. Have a blessed evening.

I remember reading a couple of these about a year ago.
I recall something about you got away on your own and was thirsty and got caught. Trying to steal a Pepsi and a man paid for it.
...
This one was well written and it shows the pain of being an orphan punishment involved sometimes by the cruel people who run everything.
Writing these kind of things help change problems in the system.
I applaud you.

This is the first chapter I've read in your biography, Brett. What a remarkable chapter. I'll have to catch up. I seems you were unwanted but I don't know yet whether that was by your parents or foster parents. But the excitement you've shown so brilliantly of your possible future with Rodney. I hope it works out. I'll make sure I don't miss any more. You've certainly hooked me into your story. Well done! :)) Sandra x

Good morning, Brett,
Wow.
Just wow.
What a moving, well-developed biographical offering.
Characters and setting well-developed.
Dialogue is realistic.
But it the emotional ending that hit this reader..."The Unwanted Dog was going home."
Thank you for sharing...

Your moving writing and honesty brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for continuing your autobiography. I am so glad that a new chapter is about to open up for you, after all you had been through at that evil place and with those evil and hypocritical people.

I'm a true sucker for happy endings, even if it's just one chapter at a time, and the next chapter might take us back to more difficult times. LOL. Thanks for sharing. Glad to have you back!

Yay! Finally, a new beginning for you! What a great chapter. Is your adopted Dad still living? Will there be more to this? Can't wait, if so. God Bless you, mate. Good to see you back! No spags.
