Hi Liz, this such an endearing story, but I'm very sorry to learn that Dollie has left for the bridge of rainbows. What a lovely way to say she was gone. I really enjoy reading your story. Ulla:)))

What a great continuation chapter, Liz. This was fantastic. It was a time to say goodbye to Doolie and remember Timothy the Beaver. Timothy moved out of the territory after his wife left him. Such a shame for Timothy. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessings n hugs!!!

This is an interesting part of your story. Timothy must have married a very demanding female, so he may do well starting over without her. Poor Maddie went to great trouble to tell Bea that Doolie had gone over the rainbow.

Thank you for sharing this heartwarming story with us. I enjoyed reading and this is another good write.

When calmly asked, the hysterical puppy was able to answer the question about what happened when she whimpered that someone fell. (You can omit 'that'. Please keep an eye on your use of 'that'. It seems to be one of your favorite words. Many can be switched to 'the' others can be switched to 'which'.)

Thank you for your helpful review. You have nailed that about my use of 'that.' I was conflicted, if I didn't use 'that' it would

look like I needed quotes. So will it be ok to leave 'that' out? I don't use 'that' I've been much more conscious of 'that' . If you say so, I will go back & purge my story of 'that'

Oh no. I was so looking forward to reading more of your story and now, with sadness in my heart, I read that Doolie has travelled to the Rainbow Bridge.

So skillfully crafted. A fantastic children's book.

Thank you for your delightful review. Doolie was my partner, Maureen & she did die as a result of a botched surgery after hitting her head.

This is the 2nd time I've got to read about Doolie, Bea. Sweet puppy The kids are going to love it!!
The story is interesting and the characters are vibrant and very believable. I have no doubt that this novel will be a smashing success.
The characters done are such that actual emotions for them hopes and fears and wishes for the future.
Very well done and good luck!

I like how this part shows how compassionate Bea is to all the friends in her life. And she wants the best for everyone although it does cause her to be anxious at times.
I did like this measurement of time: "many leaf-filled trees ago. "
I wished that the dialogue between Maddie and Bea were direct as we couldn't hear their voices and we were hearing through the filter of being told what was said after the fact.
