Hi Jesse, I'm so sorry about your setback, but the fun and memory of that day will last forever and give you the gumption, ambition, and bravery needed to continue through your recovery. Of special note:

I have gone up the ladder of success many times before and I will do it again.

(Indeed you have, and your FS family is cheering for you and waiting for you at the Finish line. You are a Champion, my friend.)

Great photo choice. You will be soaring in no time. Think of the green trees and mountains of summer. Margaret ~ LateBloomer

Thanks, Margaret, for your supportive review! I am happy you liked the photo choice...it is an egret in flight! I love birds, especially local birds, who fly over the nature trails I go to often.
Yes, I will be soaring in no time!
    Thanks again for your support!

If you like birds, you'll have to check out the eagle's nest in northern CA. The Female is Jackie, and she is sitting on two overdue eggs--not sure if they're going to make it this year. The Male is Shadow. Last year One of their eggs made it. The eaglet was named Spirit. The name was chosen by a group of Local third graders. They are such a beautiful family. I'll leave you the link. If the eggs do not hatch, it may be too late in the season for a second batch. Last year, Jackie had two sets of eggs. The first one did not hatch. They second group of two had One viable egg--Spirit. Here's the link if you are interested. Click or copy and paste:

Spirit is a wonderful name to give the eaglet which hatched last year. I will have to copy and paste to get the link because I can't click it. Thanks for letting me know! I live in Northern California myself.

Wishing you all the best in rehab recovery. I did this once myself rehabing my knee ligaments; over did it lifting weights and set myself back a week or two. You have to stay within the program, be patient and keep working at it. My experience is that all of a sudden, one week, everything snaps into place and your there. estory

Hello, Jesse,

I think it's a fine line between pushing yourself to increase your walking ability and doing too much and get hurt...it must be hard. It sounds like you have a great self awareness and you know how to move forward. I wish you the best.

Gypsy hugs

Not that I would ever wish anything bad on you but, from a very selfish perspective, I look at your four to six weeks of not walking as four to six weeks of having the opportunity to write more and share your life with your loyal fans. Of course I want you to regain the point you were at before and surpass it, but I'm sure you'll use the added "free time" you've given yourself to your best advantage.

Thank you, as always, for sharing your story. No matter if what you tell is positive or negative, your positive, hopeful attitude turns everything you write into an uplifting story of pride, hope, accomplishment and eventual success.

    Hello Michele!
The free time that you mentioned will go towards rest and relaxation more than anything else. I will find the time to write more while recuperating from my injuries.
Thanks for seeing the bright side of my life! Your insight and support mean the world to me!

You do whatever?s best for you, and ignore me totally. Get whatever rest you need, and do things at your own pace. You know your body better than anyone. I?ll always be waiting on the sidelines with encouragement and support.

Thanks. I appreciate your kind and giving support. I know you, and you will always be on the sidelines rooting for me, no matter what!
    Thanks, my friend!

I like your positive attitude about moving forward with walking. All one can do is continue to improve. With our health, we often have setbacks but letting them bring us down, does no good. I wish you well on your journey.

Those two steps back are from trying too hard, Jesse? :) I know that feeling and the hurt is sweet but the delay sucks. Don't feel too bad as long as you TAKE YOUR TIME everything will come out just fine. :) Take care of yourself, my friend and don't give up.

Yes, my friend, the delay sucks. I will take my time, knowing that everything will come out fine. I will not give up! And if I do, I only have myself to blame.
Thanks for stopping by and supporting me in my trial of mine.
    Enjoy your weekend!

The sixth star is for your intestinal fortitude. But don't ask me why or how a person's intestines become involved with courage, endurance, and moxie. Maybe to 'gut' it out?
Anyway, I wish you all the best.

Great story and I enjoyed reading it. I can relate, I've been up and down the ladder a lot of times, just trying to get there one step at a time. Your positive attitude is inspiring, and very well described in your story. Your story is well written, an open and honest account of your struggles to walk passed the finish line. Thank you for sharing.

I am sorry to hear that things are not progressing as quickly as you had hoped, but you have grit and determination to succeed, and you will. My mother used to say "Make haste slowly!". Take it steady and build up your strength little by little and you will get there. Best wsishes,
Wendy
