Nicely done short poem that is so apropos for what is generally on TV. I think a lot of people have stopped watching the news because of all the anger and violence.

I can only agree with your sentiments. May I suggest the use of affects instead of effects?
Fake news, desperation, poverty, disease and narcissistic traits are all we here about on the "news", most of it old by the time it gets to air.
