This poem is lovely and I really envy you your long term friends. I never really had friends as a child, nor even as an adult. My husband and I were introverts and didn't socialize with others. I wish you best of luck in the contest.

Nicely done... A wonderful heartfelt work about friendship.
I loved the opening stanza. It's descriptive yet vague.
Without the title as a clue, it would be hard to know your direction...It makes it a good hook.
I also liked the comparison phrasing you used elsewhere.

It's funny that there are so many people that have so many friends. And yet, I wonder, are they really friends? I have just a few friends and as we become older they dwindle in number. I find for the most part, that my friends are irreplaceable. But I feel so lucky to have had them in my life. Their perspective and feelings for me are similar to what you have expressed in your poem. Best wishes.

A true friend is gold dust, once you have one, they are there for life. This tribute to your three friends is lovely, and you must show them so they know just how appreciated they are. This is a well-conceived Tribute poem. The text is a great size. A darker black /bold would make the text not seem faint. It would also go well with the black sky in the visual. Your entry is colorful, so the text would match the richer tones of the visual. The message is heartfelt, well stated in thought and rhyme scheme. I wish only that the last line was an original saying related to this friendship. The saying you have written is commonly said. The visual fits perfectly. I like that is a cartoon.
