I was a member from 2009 to 2015, left until this past November. I was burnt out in 2015, lost the desire to write.

Why chimpanzees throw faeces?
I do hope this is a fictitious tale. If so, it is quite funny, if not it is a laugh upon the institution that awarded you the fellowship.
Either way, a humorous tale.

You used your imposed words well to create a fun quirky story that was believable. I especially liked the way you used the word fellowship. And of course the ending was just hilarious. Much enjoyed. What a shame the contest was restricted to poetry (seems unnecessary) kay

Not sure I would celebrate if getting hit in the face with it when passing by the cage. But they will do it. Good one. Stick to the stock market. Lot cleaner and smells better.

Just this morning a friend and I were laughing about the absurdity of a govt. paid for study of giraffe sex.
A good, well written and interesting story.
The only drawback is the song lyrics. I knew what they were but many won't...If you have plans for this beyond the contest, you need to change them. This is especially true for the hook line.
I knew what it was and the melody was there in an instant. Anybody unfamiliar with "Celebrate" is going to be confused or think it's strange.
