Oh yes, finally someone is going to do a study on that. I'm sure my family isn't the only one to have dodged a well aimed throw. Congrats on the milestone post, and thanks for the morning chuckle. Well told in conversation.
cheers.

Hahaha! You may not be a poet, but you surely did an excellent job writing a short story using the words. I enjoyed the words to the songs also. They brought a smile to my face. I like the way you put the required words in bold print, and I liked reading about a daughter who was proud of her dad. Fun story.

Haha, some of the real-life studies are about as important as
the one in this story, John. You did a great job adding those
phrases from popular songs. Your word choices created great
imagery for readers. Yes, receiving that fellowship would be
something to celebrate and joyfully share. I liked the way you
formatted your words using bold to highlight those words.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Thank you, Jan. I googled strange grants and this was one of them, $556k.
Thank you for reading and being there on my posts.

A sweet memoir of a special moment between a father and his daughter celebrating good news. The twist at the end was priceless as I envisioned the daughter's reaction. A real gem.

Okay, I thought that was a poetry contest and wondered where you came from with this story. Now I understand. It is funny and skillfully written. I love the way you ended the story. Nice job.

Yes. I?m terrible at poetry so I decided to use the same words in a short story.
Thank you for the kind words.

This is a creative way to use the words. You surprised me at the end, the father can now study feces throwing chimps. It is not an ending I would have expected. You have a smooth flow of dialog and story here.

Congratulations on the 300-milestone post. I enjoyed reading. I had to laugh because I remember, many years ago, our governments paid for a study on why toddlers fall of tricycles. Of course, just waste our tax dollars.

Thank you, Barbara. I was amazed at all the dopey (to me) grants given out.
We should think of one.
I appreciate your reading and sharing.
Cheers to tricycles and chimp poo.

I enjoyed reading your story. The celebration came through loud and clear. Good luck with why chimpanzees throw their feces. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

There was a half-million dollar grant awarded for this study. I could think of at least ten better areas to fund better than dung tossing.
Anyways, thank you for reading. I do appreciate it.

Congratulations on your milestone post! You did a great job writing the story with the words provided. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.
One note:
"I love you baby girl" needs a comma after "I love you."
