This flows along beautifully. That would be quite a collection, as there must be millions of different plate patterns. I love the way this leads up to the pun complate. You did a great job of getting the essentials in with this flash fiction piece. judi

A different ending than I was expecting and that's what makes your work so readable, (I don't mean only the endings) another excellent read, very well written****kahpot

Again this was my first read of the day, I have to say again it changed my mood again. This time I had to prick my finger with a pin to make sure that I had not gone into some kind of trance that reading this had put me in. The play on word "complate" ending was unique, to say the least; to say the most: interesting. I think it was to drive my spell check crazy as it kept on trying to change it to "complete."
Best wishes,
Mary

I hope that you realize or come at some point to realize that you need help. When it comes to groaners, this one should rate near the very top. "Contemplated", really Bill. I scared my poor wife, she was shocked at the painful groan I uttered uncontrollably. I explained that it was just you being you and surprisingly, she understood.

Com-Plate-d! I was afraid that getting the one last plate would mean that the grandfather would die because his quest in life was finished and there were no more goals.

You know - like the Winchester Mystery House where the lady kept adding on to the house so she wouldn't die when the construction stopped...
