I knew this was a six when you mentioned on the phone! It is filled with love and heart and loneliness and dreams gone silent. Beautifully written and wonderful tribute to not only a woman well-loved and loving, but a life well-lived. While I understand why you did not enter it in the contest, I also know it would have be the winner. I miss your stories here on Fanstory. You are too good to retire. I think writing just when you want to is part of retiring, isn't it? lol
I hope you will live the rest of your life exactly as Zoe would have wanted you to -- sort of that last tribute. I don't know that it helps everyone, but it always helps me to remember the good times then and figure how to make some more.

Hmm, you did a great of job of sticking with the subject and theme. The story may have wrote itself, but it seemed to know where it should go. Many of the song references will resonate with readers. Each seeing one they fondly remember.

Music is the one thing that is able to bring back the memories of long ago. Some bring happy memories, those you don't want to forget. Some you'd rather not hear played again. I understand your love for music. Jim and I found many songs
to love in our fifty five years of marriage. We loved music and we loved to dance together. The music pretty much went out of my life when he died too. Well done Terry, well done. Nancy:)
