A fantastic story that took me down memory lane. Your music seemed to cross the same path as mine. Songs that are iconic to America that will play on forever. You are so right when you lose the person you shared the music is gone, the melodies change a lot. GREAT WORK.

It sounds like your shared a wonderful life and have musical treasures to help you reminisce as you remember Zoe.
You have a great narrative voice. You draw the reader in and tell a story like you are sitting back enjoying a cup of coffee and going over the best of times.

Holy cow! First date and she comes up with "And I do think we will be lovers." This was a woman who knows what she wants!
The paragraph that begins, "Like thousands of others have done." That sentence is incomplete, Terry. I would connect it to the next sentence somehow. By the way, The Wedding Song was played and sung by a guitarist-friend of mine at our wedding. Like thousands of others . . .
I always hesitate to read your stories about Zoe because they're usually sad, but they also speak to your love for the woman you lost. So I read . . .
Music is in the background of most of our lives - I can't imagine life without it.
