Hi Sally!

Great chapter in your book. You start us with a great scene where we have a chance to glimpse into the foggy mind of Detective Tommy Thompson. It seems he's remembering some details he needs. Just a little foreshadowing of the ignored Dr. message you'll bring us back to later.

We see Willa come to visit, which is sweet, but she will get some bad news later. Before she finds out, we hear the doctor and nurse tell us there's a deadly tumor on his brain. Oh no!

Willa finds out, and her heart is broken. She had been so happy. Will he beat the cancer again so they can have their life?? We'll have to wait to find out!

Great job.
Hugs,
Rhonda

I just finished, What the Bling Girl Saw, this morning. It was so beautifully penned, and helped take your readers into your world with you.
I will be reviewing it on Amazon!

Hey Sal, I've been following a little sporadically, but I thought to check this chapter and as always a fine write from your quill. You write about love very well.

Keep your quill to paper and keep sharing. :))

I've just jumped into the middle of your book. I will have to go back and catch up on the story.
Even though I haven't read the rest, it kept me reading, pulling me along.
Well done.

Maybe the head wound was a lucky thing. It helped them find the tumor in time. I'm sure Tommy had so much on his mind he forgot all about checkups.

This is an emotional chapter as these two go from the peak of happiness to the despair of Tommy's brain tumour. You've written it well with all the emotions showing, I'm sure it was a hard one to write Sally. Well done,
cheers,
valda

Hi Sally,
Well, this chapter coincided with Valentine's Day, didn't it? Did you do that on purpose? or was it pure luck?
But there's a shadow over things now with that tumor back.
A few things surprised me... first was the engagement dinner for Willa and Tommy. Would a doctor go to that extreme while the patient was still in a hospital room? Even wine!
Second, would Dr. Sizemore let Tommy know about the brain tumor by voicemail? I should think that news would come from a private meeting.
Third, outside in the hospital garden, Willa told Tommy about his recurring brain tumor. He took the news so well. That kind of news should be upsetting to him. Willa sure didn't take it so well.
And four, would a doctor share his diagnosis of a patient with a nurse? Would a nurse be bold enough to ask a doctor about a patient? Just wondering~ it may be quite normal. I haven't had much experience with hospitals and doctors, thankfully.
I like your choice of the name for Tommy's nurse... Debi Marquette. Isn't she a Fanstory writer and co-star of this future movie?
Unless the good Lord intervenes to dissolve Tommy's tumor, I would think he'll be off the case for a while. There will probably be an operation and recovery period. Wait until Hank finds out this news. It might be time to call Sally's team to reel in these evil ones in Aspen Grove.

Nicely penned!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Thank you for a wonderful review and glorious stars, dear Kim. I'm honored and blessed, my friend. I'm glad you like to think out loud with me.

Chateaubriand is my favorite French dish: it is a beef tenderloin with mushrooms and butter in a red wine reduction.

Yes, hospitals here do have nice meals for their patients that happen to be there during an extended stay. I have had this wonderful blessing twice. Lobster and steak after Robert was born. My obstetrician ordered it for Jack and I with his congratulations. I was like Tommy through, I wasn't feeling too great and Jack ate most of it. LOL!

And yes, my brother, Mike, had recurring rumors and had to have regular scans. His office gave him reminder calls all the time. The last message was ignored by him, and he died two weeks later. I am more hopeful for Tommy as he is the main character. Yes, he will need some outside help and I have just the ones who could lend a hand and a dog. ;)) You're a perceptive one!

Sending you my best today as always.

You know, Sally, I just wrote a poem and in it, I wrote. "In this life, roses have thorns." That is what life is for everyone. Roses smell sweet until life stings you with its thorns. I hope Tommy finds a cure for the tumor. Thank you for sharing.

First of all, what a romantic image you've chosen here:-) A couple with their arms wrapped around each other, drenched in love and rain, kissing. Hurray for romance!

Wow, are there really doctors left that take the time to order Chateaubriand for their patients' dinners instead of rushing off to their next check-in? Or does that only exist in fiction:-)

Well, after I typed that last paragraph I came across the part where the doctor and nurse pray for Tommy, so I guess I've answered my own question. If a doctor is the praying type, he's the kind type, as well.

Sal, this was a perfect chapter for Valentine's Day. And something tells me it will have a happy ending.

Thanks for the great read, and happy Valentine's Day to you!

xx
Pam

Thank you so much for the wonderful review and insightful comments. Actually, he has brain swelling so surgery has to wait anyway. My brother had this condition and he died of it. I?m hoping for better things for Tommy as he is the main character. Stay tuned. Thank you again so much and I?ll see next week, God willing.
