on Mardi Gras, and your personal celebration of it. I imagine
your husband 's thoroughly informed about its history and
everything connected to it. You gave readers some great facts
and a fun way to celebrate. I've heard of King cake, but never
tried it.

Thank you for your kind words. I am having a party here in Texas. Most of my friends were not familiar with the traditions and culture of Mardi Gras. We still have two weeks to go before the party. Great recipes will be tried. I ordered the king cake from New Orleans. It should be fun! Sarah

Thanks Dolly. I would love for you to be able to come! I am in Texas this year and am hosting my party. When I invited neighbors, they all accepted, but had questions about Mardi Gras. That inspired me to write. Thanks. Sarah

The Mardi Gras sounds like fun but I have never been to one. My niece and her husband went last year and had a marvelous time. She sent me a box of the bead necklaces and I put them on my little Christmas tree. They looked very festive and I'm sure carried good vibrations. They will become a part of my holiday decoration tradition.

You are welcome. For various reasons, I had not put up a Christmas for several years. This year I did and I've been enjoying is so much, I still haven't taken it down. I think some believe it's just laziness, but I have only me to please and it pleases me to leave it up for a while longer! It must be interesting to have collected ornaments from all your travels. I expect that you have a very unique collection.

You do a lot of telling not showing. It almost seems like a Wikipedia. I would pick one event full of emotion and hook the reader with emotion. Example: we set the party but the baby's water broke and instead of a party we gave birth to our third child.
