Short and sweet easier to read than living after the moment your child goes to school. Will they be okay, be afraid, get along or bullied, will they like the menu, are they dressed okay, so many thoughts go through our heads and yet they are likely having the time of their life.

Your granddaughter is sooo cute, JM. I enjoyed reading your
contest entry. Though short as required, you gave readers
great information on the bond you have with her. Now that
she's old enough to attend school, her life and your will change.
However, the bond will remain solid.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

Great story. I enjoyed reading it. I would have to say that every young mother would probably relate to this. Your story had good humor in it, and brought back a memory to me after my first day of kindergarten. Your story was a lovely insight into you and your daughter's relationship. I enjoyed reading it. Great flow of your words through the story, and good artwork that went with the story. Thank you for sharing.

First sentence: Daughter's - to show possession. First sentence of second paragraph: while it's hot (it is)

This is a good Dribble, but since it's for contest, I would make the changes.

Every young mother relates to this:-)

Good luck!

Pam

I made those two corrections. Thank you, Pam.
Check my post "Felt With the Heart", if you have a chance. It deals with my son at the Casa Monica.
    Thanks again. John

This is so true to all moms out There! We can't wait for that day to get here and then we suffer empty nest syndrome and they weren't gone by what six minutes?
Same happens when they leave home we can't wait to have the house back, ,then the tears come because we miss them already!

Five minutes. Haha. Good humour. I remember my Mum scolding me after my first day at Kindergarten. She said ,"You left me at the gate and never even looked back to cry or wave goodbye."

A lovely insight into your relationship with your daughter.

She is absolutely beautiful! What a precious little girl. I love the story. I'm sure you will miss her. I miss the little ones in my life. I get to see them tomorrow and I look forward to it.

This is every mothers dilemma hold on or let go. I knew I was going to have trouble letting go, so in my spirit I practiced early. Your story is complete in so few words. I do not see any room for improvement.

Most important, the 1954 after your name, is that the year you were born? I was born in 1954. Now for the review. I completely understand. I was lucky enough to be able to stay home when my boys were little. I thought I couldn't wait until the last one was in full day school. When it happened, I was a complete disaster. LOL Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us and good luck.
