Very well written. Indeed these words do.
Clearly a well thought out piece of prose with a clearer message.
Your combination of colour selection and illustration work perfectly together.

Jacqueline, thank you for your validation of this poetic message.

Geez man, how do you guys pull off these seven word poems. I need more than seven words to fart.
I love the dynamics of this, as well as the photo and coloring. This piece really presented a feeling of encouragement.
Nicely done!

Douglas, thanks much, True to your point, I find it hard to complete a sentence often in seven words. other than as a I have aged I can say No.
! A complete sentence that can be interrupted in many ways.

Your contest entry was well-presented, Mystery Author.
I enjoyed reading it. You gave readers much to think
about. The forgiving part is difficult depending on the
circumstances involved. Also for the same reason many
will never forget. However to do as you've written would
be the best for one's mental health. The art choice was perfect.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

This is a good form for the contest. The message, is clear. I understand the forgiveness part but what I do not understand is how we can forgive and forget. I have something that happened in my life where I was able to forgive, but it was Such a serious hurt that I have never been able to really forget it. But the forgiveness did give me freedom and I was able to continue on in life with being able to communicate with that person even until her diet day. Patricia.

Patricia, I too had a personal experience as a child that the forget part has become like a sheath. After loads of therapy and finally able to a parents grave and let our my screams, shouts and tears, I came to a place of forgiveness. The forget part since then has not been the shackles of past ?. But forget ut uh.

For me, not being able to forget what happens, has not hit me in anyway shackle. When I recall what happened I only feel sorry for the person that did it to me.

It is true, forgiveness does set one free. It is perhaps not so easy to forget. A very concise and impactful poem. I wish you the best of luck in the contest.

Very true sentiment, and it seems incongruous yet it is true. I wrote a story about this yesterday. The simplicity of your image suggests freedom. Best wishes for entry.

I think you are so right! It's hard to do, but it will release you to move on with the rest of your life. Some great advice in a well written contest entry. Best of luck.

You may have been chained to abuse or shuffled from foster parents. The foster personal hold your life in their mitts. I hope there was a sweet release when you gained your freedom. Good luck in the contest.

Your seven words are concise and, if followed, would have a tremendous impact. I've often heard that forgiving brings freedom - I believe it must be so, removing all that baggage.
I like the simple colors of black and blue and the simple message.
Good luck in the contest.
