This is a seriously sad poem. If I've interpreted it correctly, the children are in an orphanage or something of that nature and waiting to be adopted. The one looking out the window was not chosen.

Yes, you got it right. It's from an orphan looking through a window at another lucky orphan being adopted...she got dressed up for nothing. I was thinking how sad that would feel.
Thank you. I appreciate your excellent review and kind feedback.

I misspel words to give them different meanings or for people to try to understand what I'm seeing.
"I" for Eye.
Mean seeing not as a noun in the first person.
But as a verb in sight or seeing.
Thanks for sharing this and have a great day.

This is rather brilliant dear friend Gypsy, possibly one of the best short form poems I have ever seen. It really give substance to the terrible societal flaws that lie on our human endeavours, no child deserves the ignominy of orphanhood. Well done, blessings Roy

Another fine poem, Gypsy....and ine that shines a light on a critical option for couples who cannot conceive. My wife and I had that problem and had tried fertility treatments, and adaption was the next option but my marriage ended before that stage, unfortunately

The author's words are clear, descriptive and creative. Thank you for the
author's notes - great information! The author's words made me think
of how adoption can make a difference in a child's life. The poem flows
and connects well. The artwork goes well with the words of this poem.
Hi Gypsy, hope you are doing well....Maria

Like your poem. Your poetry is always so well written and have such beautiful images. How many children must long for adoption day to arrive when they are placed for adoption.

Gypsy Rose, I enjoyed this poem, because of the fact that it is written for national adoption day. When I was 19 I myself gave up a son for adoption. He had been the result of a rape, and I refused an abortion which my family wanted me to do. I am so glad that I gave him up for adoption, and when he was 35 years of age, I got to meet him. He and I are friends today and I talk to him Several times a year. Patricia.

Thank you for sharing this poem with us. My heart went out to the child who wasn't chosen. I can't imagine how painful that would be. Thank you for pointing this out. We all need to hear it.
