I agree 100% -- Sylvester is not evil -- not at all. That Tweety was a manipulating, spoiled little tease with no concept of give and take, or "When In Rome..." (LOL)

Thank you and thanks for the six stars. Someone needed to stand up for the poor cat. Lol.

Yes, you have convinced me - and I too feel a bit sorry for Sylvester, misunderstood and picked on. Your story is well written and humorous and an excellent take on the topic. Best wishes for your entry.

A good read and an interesting take on two Looney Tunes characters. No one ever likes to be usurped in someone else's heart. Your prose has a good flow. Thankyou for sharing your thoughts.

Thank you. You bet. I was usurped years ago when my little brother was born. I really resented him taking my place as baby. Lol. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

I thought I saw a pretty cat (I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat.) Sorry, I am an animated Looney Tunes fan. I remember the days with the characters Sylvester, Tweety and Granny. Granny always came sweeping with her broom when Sylvester was out of control. Like your story.

This was a great selection of favorite villains!
I am in total agreement with you on tweety-bird. I think Coyote should be in this same class as a poor villain.
You resurrected images I remember as a child.
Wonderful job.

Thank you. It is a shame that most of these classic cartoons are banned for violence today. I think it is crazy.

Okay, you convinced me. That "mouthy bird" did what that annoying youngest sibling always does - tattle on the older jealous sibling. So we now understand that the real villain is the grandmother who played favorites! Best wishes in the contest!

I agree, Mystery Author. You did a great job arguing
for Slyvester. He did what's instinctive to cats. Yes,
Tweety bird is little and cute, but they have to realize
cats catch birds. Your words flowed smoothly with great
details to support your case.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

Thank you for becoming an advocate for Sylvester in this writing prompt entry. I happen to agree with you. I have dachshund, Harley who happens to live with now two cats. It was three. Two the cats, Harley didn't chase. Why? They didn't run. The third cat, he chases, because the cat runs. My husband gets upset and attempts to discipline Harley. I say attempts because I'm Harley' lawyer. I swear if the cat didn't run, Harley wouldn't chase. I have evidence to that fact.

Oh nice...I loved Sylvester and Tweety bird, besides all the good arguments you made, there's also the fact that Sylvester simply behaves like a human...eating another species because that's what we all do. I bet Granny likes lamb or veal or even turkey. :) She ought to understand. Anyway, I thought this defense of Sylvester was long overdue. You make a good devil's advocate. It was a fun read, with the conversational tone, I felt immediately included in your discussion and had to add my own two cents.

LOL. You present a good case for Sylvester. I remember that ball of feathers always teasing him and taking pleasure when Granny would strike him with the broom. The evidence leans toward Sylvester acting naturally, and Tweety manipulating Granny. Case closed.
