"toe-danced" is such an interesting word. I don't think I have ever heard it before. It gives such a ginger image of the rain that is falling down.

Thank you, Mia. I love to play with language and fortunately poets have license to do so.

Gypsy, I am delighted you like this short poem so much. Many thanks for your kind praise.
Comment from Faith Williams
I like how the title of your poem complements the 'toe-dancing' rain as well as the ending rhyme in the first and third lines. Thanks for sharing, and best wishes in the contest.

Dancing rain in April sounds like a welcome change from snow and ice at this time of year, so I enjoyed your fine 3-5-3, much fun and good luck with the contest, love Dolly x

Thank you so much, Dolly. Today is very cold and we?ve had snow, so the thought of a gentle Spring rain cheers me up too.

Very clever interpretation. Metaphorically combining ballet and rain on a window pain. A definite contender for competition winner. Best of luck and keep on writing.

Hello, Mystery Writer!
A beautiful presentation that definitely resonates with me.
Wonderful visual imagery of the rain toe-dancing around your windowpane? (tap-danced would work as well if the rain is loud!)
Best Wishes!

We wish it were April, but I guess it will be coming. This is a great 3-5-3, and I don't know where the contest stands, but I wish you much success. Best, JohnC
