It's a funny thing, Sandra,
In here I can pretend to be the person I wish I was. In reality, I'm not the same person. I'm terrified to be this person that people see here. In reality, I have to fight myself to try to be the person you see here, to let that person out. I have zero social skills. I force myself out to practice.
It doesn't do much good.

We all wear, a public and private mask. You must move within your comfort zone. Perhaps start by talking to more folks by phone, and meeting one on one rather than in large groups. Call someone to just chat. We all crawled before we walked. Thanks for your review.

Congratulations on your achievements.
My dad never went beyond grade 7 to help support his mother, and he never told my brother he was proud of his college degree; it was because it did not register with Dad that it was a big deal. His world was taking two buses and a train each way every day to work, and he never fully appreciated school, never mind college.

Congratulations on creating an exceptional sentence acrostic poem that defies odds and overcomes obstacles in its rise to greatness with great aplomb--much like you have done in your life of evermore challenging and impressive accomplishments (so many of which I am unaware, yet confident of their existence).
From Master of Arts degree to master of free verse poetry (two which I do know), you are indeed a born warrior and an exceptional woman who can and should be proud of herself--regardless of your family's inability to say it out loud).

Congratulations on your exceptional education. I have a bachelor's degree and I'm the only one to go to college in my family so I understand. I was 48 when I graduated, it wasn't easy for me either. My education came secondary to other life events...but I didn't give up. My parents were dead but my brother and my children were proud...I was proud. It was a great feeling.

I attended college to help myself and my family, but instead of being proud they ALL became envious because I broke the cycle. I got my masters so I could earn more to send my daughter to college, but she died. and never finished college. Thanks for your review.
