This was a true-life autobiographical account of the ongoing journey from college to different educator jobs. Our family recently lost a cousin who passed away just short of age 79 after retiring from teaching kindergarten for over 30 years. So I get what you say with the repetition of "It's in your blood."

You have shown how teaching gets into one's blood, and you don't become one with the snap of your fingers. My first mentor told me it would take ten years to REALLY be a teacher. He was right! I find this essay very inspirational. So many young teachers are leaving the profession. They should read this. Rod

Thank you for reading and reviewing, Rod. I appreciate it and your feedback. Yes, we still need good teachers, and it's a shame many are leaving (for various reasons) burnt out. Thank you! That's high praise, and I'm honored. Take care. :D :D

Yet another great read. You seem to be featuring a lot in my feed this morning and I am enjoying it. The repetition of, "It's in your blood." This sentence lends a power to your story. Another well spun tale.

Did you use basic editor or advanced? Did you copy and paste? I have found it helpful to paste under Basic Editor then switch to advance. But I'm still learning as well. I gather the voice is your inner self reassuring your decisions taken?

Thank you for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it and your feedback. Yes, the voice was both reassurance for my decisions, but also a part of me that always knew where I was supposed to go. I used Advanced, but I'll try your suggestion. Thank you for your help. It's appreciated. Take care. :D :D
