This is a very moving, powerful piece of writing. And you make a good point...Teaching and writing are both very noble professions different but equally good. And it doesn't have to be either/or. You are skillfully doing both. They are both in your blood.

Hi there, Jane Jane King. I want to apologize for my lack of response. For several months, I've dealt with sicknesses (my own and my roommates) and countless activities at the school where I teach. Today was the first time in a long while I could log onto this site for more than a few seconds. Again, I'm so sorry.

Thank you so much for your review and comments. I do appreciate them. I do appreciate them. I'm thrilled you enjoyed it. I had fun writing it. Thank you again. Take care. :D :D

This is awesome. Read well and kept me intrigued. Loved the wording and the spacing is perfect. Congratulations on having this recognized. Thank you for sharing this. Noticed this is also for a contest best of luck.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us and putting it into poetry certainly made it easy to read. I am glad you persevered and became a teacher because it certainly sounds like that was what you were meant to be. And who better to become a writer, than a teacher?

How I love your story. Very well written. We have teachers in our family, and I am sure they feel the same as you do about education. In today's world, we must let the younger children know how important education is....

thanks for this bravely honest account of your journey. I hope you keep listening to the inner voice in your blood and that all your dreams come true. I am afraid I dont have an answer to the spacing dilemma, I'm new myself.

One must live out their dream. Sometimes regardless of who is giving advice, who may think they know best. If you try and fail, then you bounce up and tackle the next hurdle, and maybe the next after that.
Sometimes it takes a lifetime.
Nicely penned.
Cheers to fulfillment.

Loved it. Believed it. You continued on and found your way. And you use your powers for good. Not everyone is given such gifts. And some who are choose to squander them on lesser pursuits. If there were many more like you we would probably be in much better shape in this country. Bravo.

What a beautiful journey of self-discovery and growth, as human being, as teacher, as writer. It is indeed life that molds us, but the rest is in our blood. I loved how you have penned your experience into such a great free verse, its flow, in spurts just like the sprouting of you and who you were becoming. Nice job, TEACHER/WRITER !

I still joke that I was born with a piece of paper in one hand and a pen in the other. My love of teaching came later. Thank you again for reading. Take care. :D :D
