I love your simple, straightforward poetic style and the way your poems rhyme with good cadence. This is another wonderful example in which you give some history about yourself. I think you found your calling with poetry, and I agree completely about how fulfilling it can be. When I write a poem that I like, there's no greater feeling, and I just want to share it. I'm glad you share yours with us.

This is one of the most beautiful poems you have written. You tell some of the story of your life and how poetry played an important part. This is very heart warming and very real having to serve one's country. My brothers cousins and nephews used the GI Bill to further their education.many financed their first homes too.

Yep, I agree. It's a darn good way of getting things off one's chest, to perhaps sow something into a fellow reader/writer's heart or soul, or wherever it finds a Home, my dad served in the second world conflict, beautifully written, blessings Roy
