This verse has good rhyming and pace, giving us a peek of how poetry took hold of you and with it brings meaning and joy. There is a small typo, needs a space between GI Bill and with.

There were a couple of technical things in the poem. They didn't distract, but I feel honor-bound to point them out... Feel free to ignore.
