Gypsy,
Both poem, artwork, and your author notes carry a wonderful and warm message about our lost love ones.
My mother did these for her grandchildren, which they then used for their children.

Cuddled by a fireplace, wrapped in a quilt Mom made, and smelling Mom's scent on a cold winters' night would be the most security any person could ever have. I can't imagine anything better. Thank you for sharing this scene with us.

Gypsy,
I know this well. When people I love have passed, I hung on to things that reminded me of them, like the smell of a warm blanket.
Your words are comforting.
Nice club entry.
Blessings,
Cindy

Your description of your lingering memories of your Mom plunged me straight into my own grief, and impelled me to write immediately. I feel lighter now. Thank you. kay

What a beautiful and heart warming poem about a daughter's longing for her mother who passed away. But her scent still lives in the blanket where the daughter can still feel her existence.
Well done.

This makes me sad when I think of you as a little girl holding on to your mother's clothes to remember her scent. I like that the quilt is "handmade" as your mother's deeds of love remain with you always as you remember her loving touch.

This is a good Haiku poem. I really like the way it is presented with two pictures top and bottom with poem sandwiched in the middle. This piece paints a moment of remembrance in a loving memory of mum, quilt and her lingering scent. Nicely done.
