Poetry can help one feel there is no doubt about that and I love the way you use thy and thou when writing in the old English style of poetry. This is excellently done and I love the picture of the English man with the old-fashioned dress and the wig on for good measure.

This is so eloquent in words and presentation. If one was to ask what the poet's job is no better explanation can be given but to share their soul and heart in verse so that others may feel it.

Excellent 5-line poem. Such an accurate portrayal of a poet's job--to share his soul so that others may feel it. It was also beautifully presented with the Renaissance era painting and the font you chose. A great poem in every way.

This is an elegant, more *old~world* way of stating things. I mean, there is absolutely nothing wrong with saying things in the more modern way, but there is a sweet romanticism that is lost in the translation.
Your syllable counts are perfect in each line, and though I have not read any other entries, I have to believe this one will rise~like cream~to the top!
Regarding the *blessed*~ I actually agree 100 percent with what Jim said... that most readers will decipher that from the setting and contest requirements. But when I personally have been in this situation, I have always hyphenated the word, as:
bless~ed.
Yours to use or toss, as always. Other than that, I think you have done an awesome job. Btw, one of the really cool things I like~and almost forgot to mention !~ is your choice to speak of someone ELSE*s writing. Kudos!!!!

So Jim is Pantygynt's name? I never knew that. Thank you for that info. Plus, sadly, I'm sure somewhere on here, someone would want to question how many syllables I want my blessed to be. Haha. So I was just covering my back.
